Join a world-class research group at ETH Zurich's Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering in Basel. You will work on innovative projects that use synthetic biology to develop new human therapies. Your tasks
- Engineer human cells using synthetic gene circuits and biosensing platforms
- Develop new biosensing systems for real-time monitoring of cellular states
- Create genetic architectures for precise therapeutic protein regulation
- Translate research advances into programmable cellular implant prototypes
- Work closely with molecular biologists, bioengineers, and clinical researchers
What you bring
- You are highly motivated and want to bridge basic and translational research in cell biology and synthetic biology
- You have strong skills in molecular and cell biology techniques, including working with primary human cells and mammalian cell lines
- Experience with in vivo techniques and completion of a laboratory animal science course (FELASA / LTK or equivalent) is an asset
- You have a strong publication record and the ambition to pursue a career in academia, industrial R&D, or biotechnology entrepreneurship
