The role starts by agreement, with a latest possible start at the beginning of 2026. Part-time work is possible. The position is initially limited to two years, with the chance for extension or a permanent contract if collaboration is excellent. Application deadline: 31.08.2025.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Work actively in the research group and support the team leader
  • Acquire research projects independently and with the team
  • Manage and implement research projects
  • Present and publish research results
  • Provide technical co-supervision for PhD students
  • Announce and supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses
  • Manage laboratory infrastructure
  • In the mid-term, participate in teaching by leading physics or mathematics courses in the Bachelor's or Master's program

Was du mitbringst

  • PhD in materials science, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, or a closely related field
  • Several years of experience in applied research on novel semiconductors, shown by publications and project acquisition
  • Expertise that complements the team's focus on optoelectronic characterization and modeling of perovskite solar cells
  • Previous research in areas such as atomic force microscopy (cAFM, KPFM), chemistry of novel semiconductor materials, structural and surface analysis with electron microscopy, or new simulation methods
  • Strong social skills and team spirit
  • Interest in teaching
  • Very good command of English; ideally also German
  • Experience in project acquisition and enthusiasm for writing project proposals
  • Ideally, an existing network in the European research landscape and/or strong contacts with regional companies for joint innovation projects in novel semiconductors
