You will play a key role in translational vascular research at a leading university hospital. Take charge of the Swiss Vascular Biobank and lead your own research program focused on aortic diseases. Deine Aufgaben
- Lead and further develop the Swiss Vascular Biobank
- Continue an independent research line focused on aortic diseases
- Supervise laboratory staff, students, and junior researchers
- Design and carry out research projects with human vascular tissues, including work in molecular biology, histology, immunohistochemistry, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenetics, and non-coding RNAs
- Work with primary patient-derived vascular cells
- Integrate clinical data with molecular datasets
- Prepare competitive grant applications
- Ensure compliance with Swiss regulatory frameworks
Was du mitbringst
- PhD or MD/PhD in life sciences, medicine, or a related field
- Several years of postdoctoral experience
- Experience leading or coordinating laboratory teams and supervising students or technical staff
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications and successful grant writing
- Strong expertise in translational research with human tissues
- Experience with omics approaches such as RNA-seq, transcriptomics, or proteomics
- Ability to work at the interface of clinical and experimental research
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
