You play a key role in running the CADENCE Core Facility at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Basel. You make sure everything works smoothly between the department and the facility, helping researchers and partners get the best support for their projects in human movement, biomechanics, and neuromuscular function.

• Manage the organizational, technical, and financial aspects of the Core Facility
• Operate and set up the infrastructure with users
• Keep a clear financial overview, including budgeting and annual planning
• Set operational goals and improve scientific, technical, and operational processes
• Provide technical training and ensure safe, efficient use of the facility
• Prepare and maintain collaboration, data sharing, and service agreements
• Increase visibility and organize outreach activities for the Core Facility
• Prepare annual reports about the Core Facility

• PhD with at least five years of work experience in a scientific or engineering field
• Experience with movement laboratories or related technologies
• Leadership experience and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to high-quality operational standards
• Familiarity with legal and ethical frameworks for human studies
• Experience in budgeting and strategic financial planning
• Ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with academic environments (advantageous)
• Industry experience (advantageous)
• English and German language skills at C1 level
