Deine Aufgaben
- Measure canopy microclimate, canopy architecture (such as height and leaf area index), plant traits, and biomass to assess crop light and space use
- Conduct soil resource supply measurements and plant sampling for stable isotope analyses to evaluate crop nitrogen and water use
- Quantify litter decomposition, leaching, weed pressure, and yield quality to assess ecosystem services
- Evaluate plant phenotyping models in collaboration with other PhenoMix project teams
- Perform statistical analyses, including machine learning approaches
- Present research at national and international events and contribute to publications
- Assist with plot establishment, maintenance, and harvest across all PhenoMix Work Packages
Was du mitbringst
- Master’s degree in agricultural sciences, biology, environmental sciences, ecology, or a closely related field
- Experience in plant ecophysiology, soil science, community ecology, and/or stable isotopes
- Fieldwork experience
- Strong statistical skills and programming experience (for example, in R or Python)
- Good written and spoken English
- Driver’s license
- Good writing skills
- Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team
