Join a dynamic research team to explore how alpine plants adapt to high altitudes by studying epigenomic diversity in Arabis alpina. You will be part of the Epigenome Diversity lab, working closely with experienced researchers and gaining hands-on experience in plant genetics, ecology, and evolution. Deine Aufgaben

  • Conduct research on functional epigenomics of high-altitude adaptation in Arabis alpina
  • Characterize genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic variation in natural populations from different altitudes
  • Investigate associations between epigenome features and local environments
  • Examine the stability of epigenome features across growth environments and generations
  • Carry out field sampling and plant propagation in the greenhouse
  • Perform molecular biology experiments and sequencing library preparation
  • Analyze sequencing datasets using bioinformatic tools
  • Document lab and bioinformatic work diligently
  • Participate in regular group meetings, workshops, and scientific colloquia
  • Engage in limited teaching duties as part of the PhD program
