Deine Aufgaben

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team with different professional backgrounds.
  • Take responsibility for reliable operation of internal and partner-facing systems, including deployments, environments, access patterns, and daily stability.
  • Define and manage handovers from development to test phases and long-term operation, including acceptance criteria, documentation, and clear ownership boundaries.
  • Coordinate work that requires regulatory awareness, certification constraints, validated processes, or strict documentation, especially for clinical study settings.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts early, and bridge technical and user needs to prevent misunderstandings.
  • Run intake, triage, and prioritization across multiple demands, making transparent decisions based on urgency, risk, and value.
  • Set up standards for monitoring, backups, change management, and access control to ensure reliability.
  • Work closely with other teams like Software Engineering, Clinical Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, and Screening & Lab Automation for smooth end-to-end delivery.
  • Find ways to simplify and standardize processes where helpful, avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Plan capacity, priorities, and reporting for the group as operational commitments grow.

  • Proven leadership experience in operations, platform engineering, site reliability, clinical operations, or similar roles with delivery responsibility.
  • Strong skills in aligning expectations, negotiating trade-offs, and resolving conflicts constructively.
  • Experience operating systems or processes where reliability, documentation, and access control are important.
  • Ability to translate between technical teams and users without overwhelming with technical details.
  • Solid technical foundation to discuss deployment, environments, automation, and system reliability with engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience defining operating models, handover criteria, and service boundaries between teams (strongly expected).
  • Comfort with structured documentation and traceability when needed.
  • Experience in healthcare, clinical research operations, or hospital environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with security-conscious deployments and pragmatic risk management is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage.
