Deine Aufgaben

  • Work closely with the group leader and team members to plan projects and experiments
  • Develop computational methods and analyze multi-omic datasets (such as transcriptomics, metagenomics, metabolomics, and proteomics)
  • Review results and interpret findings from ongoing research projects
  • Guide and supervise trainees in computational research
  • Develop independent research directions that align with the laboratory’s goals
  • Publish scientific results, write grants, and participate in peer review
  • Collaborate with academic and industry partners
  • Contribute to departmental service, research dissemination, and education
  • Balance time on research (about 70%), supervision (about 20%), and service (about 10%)

  • PhD or equivalent in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, applied statistics, or a related field
  • Over 6 years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience with computational methods for large-scale biological datasets

  • Experience developing and releasing well-documented computational tools
  • Ability to guide and mentor trainees in computational research
